President's Message

From the President

August 21, 2020
Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! This school year is bound to begin with some unknowns for all of us during the Covid-19 pandemic across the great state of SC, but I feel confident we will all partner together to continue to help make our School Nutrition Association of SC as beneficial for our members as ever. I am honored to serve as your School Nutrition Association  of SC President. I look forward to working with the current board to implement the goals and strategic plan established by the National School Nutrition Association.

A new school year always brings great excitement, regardless of our circumstances. Every year brings new challenges and new rewards. I have no doubt that the best is yet to come for this school year as well. As an association, we want to help ensure that you all have the tools and resources you need to achieve your goals and best serve your students. Please know that we are here to help support you and answer questions as they arise throughout the year.

Our Annual Conference in Myrtle Beach every October is an event we all look forward to every year. With much disappointment, we must cancel it this year due to the uncertainity of COVID-19. While we will miss seeing old friends and meeting new ones, we are already, working behind the scenes to make sure SNAofSC continues to be a great resource for everyone. More information will be coming soon for possible upcoming events/trainings. We ask that everyone continue to sustain their membership and encourage their coworkers to join as well.

My hope this year is that… we all grow stronger together! I look forward to serving as your President this year. I encourage you to reach out to myself, Joyce Lovett, or any of our board members for resources or assistance.
Thank you for this opportunity and I look forward to our year together!
