HOW TO JOIN: Members of the School Nutrition Association of South Carolina (SNA of SC) are the primary advocates for quality school nutrition programs in the State. While working towards goals to insure children have access to nutritious meals during the course of the school day, the Association also serves the membership by providing the following services.

The School Nutrition Association (formerly American School Food Service Association) is a national, nonprofit professional organization representing more than 55,000 members who provide high-quality, low-cost meals to students across the country.

What does it mean to be an SNASC member?

To become a member of the School Nutrition Association of South Carolina, one must first become a member of the School Nutrition Association (national level).  During this registration process, members must specify which state they choose to be a member of.

Membership will provide you to a variety of Member Benefits, as well as discounted registration fees to the various Professional Development opportunities SNASC offers.

Dues and membership information is processed at the national level, but SNASC Association Services is here to help with any registration or membership issues as they arise.

SNA now offers two different types of member ownership:  Individual and School District Owned.  Individual means you own your membership and it is transferrable if you leave your current school district.  School District Owned means the School District you work in owns the membership and if the person who is using the membership leaves the district, it can be transferred to a another employee.  School districts can pay membership dues for its members whether that membership is individually owned OR district owned.
